The organic Super Premium Matcha Ten is sweet, yet mild, light, fruity, fresh and has an intensive aroma. Its gorgeous, jade green color already gives a taste of its fine flavors. If you choose this outstanding quality, you will possess one of the highest qualities of our organic Matcha. Due to its high quality, it is particularly suitable for the preparation of a Koicha. Here, only a little water is added to the Matcha tea which leaves a very thick consistency. Hereby the taste of umami stands out intensively.

Our organic Matcha Horai is a rare, high quality and the pride of our tea farmers. Mild, sweet and very soft on the finish with an emerald green glowing color. In Japanese mythology, the name stands for “island of the blessed”. This Matcha is the ideal tea for relaxing moment full of bliss. Its fine taste also makes it a great Matcha for Koicha. The Matcha is infused only with very little water, so that it is sometimes even served in viscous form.

Our organic Matcha Akashi is the most popular Matcha variety and corresponds to the former Ceremonial Matcha Hikari. It has a rich aroma with fruity notes and combines all the qualities of a good Matcha: mild, delicate-bitter, gentle, sweet and pleasantly harmonious. The name Akashi means “shine” and is reminiscent to the bright green color of our Matcha Tea. This Matcha is the ideal drink for a daily use.

PREPARATION

To prepare Super Premium Matcha Ten, boil fresh and preferably soft water. Let the water cool to 80°C (for example, by pouring the water back and forth between cups three times or by opening the kettle and waiting 10 minutes). Place 1 gram of Horai matcha (two bamboo scoops or half a tea spoon) in a matcha bowl. Whisk the matcha for about 15 seconds until frothy using the bamboo whisk. Find out more about how to prepare matcha here. Matcha Ten can also be used to prepare koicha. To do this, add just a little water to the matcha to taste.
